At the end of each week, I sketch a page that reflects the high points of my life during that week. Obviously, I spend a lot of time at the beach so there are sketches that reflect that. This page also reflects a workshop I taught using wisteria pods to draw with and brush painting of simple little birds. I found the vintage Japanese kabocha pumpkin paper weight at an antique shop and will use this to hold my rice paper down while I paint. One of the advantages of doing this journal is that it reminds me of the blessings in my life.
