WISHING YOU ALL A DELIGHTFUL HOLIDAY SEASON!

PAPER STAR GARLAND

STAR GARLAND – Paper stars made from colorful handmade paper from India, stitched together with braided embroidery floss, with a handmade paper bead added to the center & hung above my art studio table!  I used red & green papers with gold glitter designs on them, but it would be nice to make some purple & turquoise paper stars for the rest of the year.

CORMORANTS WELCOME THE SUN – WINTER SOLSTICE

CORMORANTS ARE TRULY SUN WORSHIPING BIRDS – THEY SPREAD THEIR WINGS TO DRY OFF IN THE SUN AFTER DIVING DEEP FOR FISH.  WINTER SOLSTICE TODAY MEANS THE SHORTEST DAY OF THE YEAR & THE LONGEST NIGHT, BUT AFTER THIS MOMENT IN TIME THE DAYS WILL BE GETTING A BIT LONGER.  THE LIGHT RETURNS.
