An extremely (-1.7) low tide exposes every single reef rock normally hidden under the sea along the coast of La Jolla. The reef rocks off shore at low tide are a perfect place for the Harbor seals to rest & sleep undisturbed. Everywhere I look I see Emerald City green slumping surf grass covering the rocks & draping down to the waves lapping at the edge of the reef. The swaying surf grass in the sea looks like silk fringe. Décor by the sea. The Harbor seals snuggle into their surf grass “duvets” & the lapping waves seem to undulate the surf grass in a sort of lullaby by the sea. Perchance to dream on a day with the Harbor seals of La Jolla.
