CRANE ORIGAMI PAPER COLLAGE CARD – I received this greeting card from my friend, Lynda, who is a very talented handmade card artist. The background paper of the card is created by embossing the paper, the mountains are origami paper cut at angles and the tiny cranes have been meticulously cut out of another sheet of origami paper. The moon is a round circle with the edges distressed to give the moon a glow. The tiny cranes are put onto the card with pieces of Foam Mounting Tape, which raises the cranes off of the card giving them dimension as if they are flying over the moon. The tiny crane legs are hand drawn in ink. A card design that is simple to create, yet is beautiful and elegant. Thanks Lynda !

This card was created for me by a friend who recently retired from teaching a greeting card class. The Geisha print is from a calendar page. The butterfly is spangled with glittery flowers punched with holes. One of the hole punches is in the Geisha’s hair piece. Note the 2 red punches on the butterfly add an element of surprise to the color palette of the card.
I think this is a really clever card to make – you can write any word or name on the tags and use all sorts of papers for the background. I really enjoy cards that are versatile enough to be used for many themes. & people always love seeing their names on a card ! Thanks Lynda for giving me this card !
