MALE SEA LION PROTECTING HIS FAMILY – LA JOLLA

“Hellooo Ladies!  Howz it going?” says the young male sea lion approaching the sea lion colony on the beach.  “The Beast”, head sea lion, immediately swims up & doesn’t even have to approach the young male who immediately gallops off down the beach.  No one messes with “The Beast”!

SEA LIONS SNOOZING AWAY – EARLY MORNING LA JOLLA

THE SIGN SAYS IT ALL.  If people stand back away from the sea lions, they get to view them in a peaceful & respectful way.  Seeing these marine mammals sleeping in La Jolla is just a delightful thing.  Seeing the sea lions surrounded by people moving ever closer & closer to stick a camera in their face?  Not so much.  Whenever you have the opportunity to experience the sea lions in La Jolla, stay back, keep your voices quiet & just watch them be their adorable wild selves.  This way the sea lions get to enjoy living their lives in peace & visitors get to enjoy watching them without the risk of getting bitten or chasing them away.  See these smiling sleeping sea lion faces?  They thank you for letting them live in peace.
